Sea Paintings
Inspiration from the sea have created this series of paintings. While hiking through the kelp beds on beautiful low tide days on some of the local islands, the abundance of sea life habitating the tidepools has inspired these paintings. The variety of texture and colour in the kelps and algaes with many small inhabitants is an ongoing drama of life. One has the pleasure of discovery in every tidepool and reef.
Fossils hide in concretions waiting to be released. The fossils date back to the Cretaceous 70 - 140 Million years ago. Ammonoids, fish coprolites, gastropods and the very rare mosasaur bones are found.
I hope that you enjoy these paintings.
